Saw a video showing how many mechanics skip torque specs on lug nuts and it blew my mind

Was watching this older tech on YouTube yesterday who pulled out a torque wrench for every single lug nut on a customer's F-150. He said like 80% of shops just ugga dugga them on with impacts. Then he showed actual data from some tire shop survey about wheel stud failures and it's way higher than I thought. I'm guilty of this sometimes when we're slammed. But now I'm wondering how many of you actually torque to spec every time or just send it?

That's kinda how the whole world works now though. Everyone rushes to get things done fast and skips the little steps that actually keep stuff from breaking. It's wild how many problems come from just wanting to be a few minutes quicker.

My buddy's wheel flew off on the highway last year.
