Serious question, how many of you are seeing more aluminum body panels?
I was reading a trade magazine at the shop yesterday and it said by 2025, over 75% of new trucks will have aluminum beds. I had no idea it was that high already. We just had a 2022 F-150 come in with a dented tailgate, and the repair quote was a real eye-opener for the owner. It makes me wonder how this changes the tools and training we all need. Are most of you guys set up for this yet?

Our shop just bought a new stud welder for aluminum pulls, and the training was way more involved than I expected.

Yeah, @sageross has a good question. What part of the training got so deep? Was it the setup for different alloys or just getting a feel for the heat settings?
