The day a customer's loose gas cap cost me 2 hours
Had a guy come in last Tuesday with a check engine light. I ran the diagnostic, found it was a loose gas cap. Told him the fix would be $20 to tighten it and clear the code. He argued with me for 45 minutes that it had to be something worse, then wanted me to run three more tests before he'd believe me. After he finally left I started charging a flat $50 fee for any diagnostic where the customer questions the first result. Has anyone else had to build a policy like this after dealing with a stubborn customer?

So you're really out here charging people extra for being annoying?
