Just hit 500 miles on the Colorado Trail and it feels different
I was checking my trail journal last night and added up all my section hikes over the past three years. The total came to 500 miles exactly, which kind of shocked me (I never kept track before). It's not about finishing the whole thing in one go, but seeing that number made all those separate trips feel like one big project. Has anyone else had a mileage total surprise them and change how you see a long trail?

Honestly, I never really get that feeling with numbers.

Maybe try looking at it a different way. Think of numbers like the rhythm in a song or the timing in a video game. You don't have to get a deep feeling from them, you just need to see how they fit together. Start small with something like a Sudoku puzzle or a simple pattern like even numbers always adding up to even. Idk, it's weird how your brain can just start noticing stuff once you look for it. Maybe it's just not your thing and that's fine too.

Find it all the time when a pattern just clicks into place.
