Showerthought: Lace locks on boots

Switched from regular laces to a $5 pair of lace locks on my Patagonia boots and my heel slip vanished after 2 days of hiking the PCT section near Mt. Whitney - anyone else ditch knots for these things?

Oh yeah, I put lace locks on my hiking boots and my feet stopped sliding around completely.

Jumped on the lace lock bandwagon last summer and now I see little fixes like this everywhere. Its funny how a tiny adjustment can change your whole experience with something, @the_holly. Goes to show you dont always need a big upgrade.
