Spent $60 on a titanium spork for backpacking, lost it in a campfire on day two

Pulled it out of the ashes with a stick and it was totally warped like a melted spoon from a cartoon, has anyone else dumped cash on fancy gear just to wreck it immediately?

A $60 titanium spork lol honestly that's like the universe telling you to just grab a plastic one from the takeout drawer. Were you really planning on that thing lasting forever through campfire heat anyway?

Grab a plastic one from the takeout drawer" reminds me of my buddy Dave who swore by his $5 camping spork for years until he dropped it in a fire pit and it melted into a sad little puddle. He still uses a plastic one now and says it works fine.
