That foggy morning on the AT in Tennessee when a bear swiped my food bag taught me to never skip bear hangs again, has anyone else had a close call with wildlife that made you rethink your whole setup?
I was camped near a popular shelter, did a half-hearted toss over a branch around midnight, and woke up to my bag ripped open and a bear staring me down from 20 feet.
