Vent: People keep ignoring the 2-mile connector trail at the start of the Timberline Loop, and it's causing a huge backup at the main trailhead.

Drives me nuts when people skip the obvious solution right in front of them. See it all the time with GPS, folks will sit in a traffic jam for an hour instead of taking the parallel road that locals all use. Same thing here, everyone just follows the herd to the same crowded spot. Gotta actually look at the map sometimes.

Yeah, the "follow the herd" thing is so real. I got stuck in that once trying to see some waterfall everyone posts about. Parked miles away, huge line. Looked at a paper map and found a smaller trailhead a mile down the road that led to the same river, just upstream. Had the whole place to myself. Why don't more people just turn the app off and look?
