A temp said my spreadsheets were 'too neat' and it hit me weirdly hard

Last Wednesday, this college kid covering reception took one look at my color-coded inventory sheet and said, 'You must hate your job a lot less than me.' She meant it as a compliment, but it made me realize I've been pouring effort into the wrong part of my shift. Has anyone else gotten feedback that made you question where you spend your energy at work?
