Got locked out of the time clock app on payday and spent 4 hours writing checks like it was 1975
So the payroll app my boss makes us use decided to force a password reset on the first of the month, and of course it locked me out completely right when I needed to run payroll. I called their support line and sat on hold for 90 minutes just to get some guy in a call center who kept telling me to clear my cookies. I did that seven times. Nothing. Meanwhile I've got 12 people expecting money in their accounts and the bank closes at 5. I ended up digging out the old box of paper checks from the supply closet, hand writing every single one, and driving to the bank myself before they locked the doors. The worst part is two of the checks bounced anyway because I wrote the account number wrong on them, so I had to explain to a guy named Dale why his rent money wasn't there. Support finally fixed my login the next afternoon and acted like they did me a favor. Does anyone else have a payroll system that only breaks on the days that matter most?
