PSA: I used to take 30 minutes on my lunch break, now it's 75
Six months ago I'd clock out, wolf down a sandwich in the parking lot, and be back at my desk in half an hour. Now I drive to the park two blocks over and sit there for an extra 45 minutes, and honestly my boss hasn't noticed once. Anyone else stretch their lunch way past what they're supposed to and get away with it?
Dang, 45 extra minutes every day adds up fast, so what happens if your boss ever checks your calendar or asks where you've been at 1:30? I get why nobody would say anything if the work still gets done, but that's a lot of trust you're banking on. Do you ever feel weird about it or just roll with it?
