Warning: spent 6 hours last Friday hunting a coffee machine leak that turned out to be one loose hose clamp
Back at my last office job we had this old Bunn machine that kept dripping onto the counter and I swore it was the gasket, so I ordered parts and tore the whole thing apart twice. Turned out the clamp on the intake line just needed a quarter turn with a nut driver, and I only caught it because I finally sat there watching it drip for 10 minutes. Have you ever fixed something the hard way before you found the dumb easy answer?
Isn't it kind of the opposite though? Sitting there watching it drip for 10 minutes is exactly what you should do first, not after tearing the thing apart twice. I've learned the hard way that if I just stare at a problem long enough before grabbing tools, I usually spot the dumb little thing right away. The real fix is patience, not knowing more about coffee machines.
