DAE think 'The Room' is actually a better drama than most Oscar winners?

I was at a 24 hour diner in Pittsburgh around 2am last month with some film buffs and got into it about 'The Room'. One guy swore it's just a disaster, but I argued the emotional beats hit harder than something like 'Green Book' because it's so raw. The scene where Johnny says 'I did not hit her' is stupid on the surface, but there's a real pain underneath that a polished movie can't fake. Anyone else think bad movies have more soul than the safe, boring ones that win awards?
