Finally admitting I liked the live action Last Airbender movie after years of trashing it

I spent 5 years making fun of that movie with everyone else, telling people it ruined my childhood. Then my nephew made me watch it with him last week and I actually kinda enjoyed it for what it was - a cheesy attempt that at least tried to keep the spirit of the show. Anyone else have a hated movie they secretly like now?

Oh man, this is exactly what happened to me with the Star Wars prequels! I spent years hating on them with my friends, calling them garbage and ruining the saga. Then last year I was stuck at my cousin's house with nothing to watch and ended up binging all three... and yeah, they're still kinda dumb but I was smiling the whole time. There's something about a movie that tries really hard even if it fails that makes it fun to watch once you let go of expectations. I think we put so much pressure on things to be perfect that we forget some stuff is just supposed to be goofy entertainment. Glad you gave it another shot, sometimes the things we hate hardest end up being the most fun to revisit.
