Took me 3 days to reset a simple breaker panel at a rental house
I was helping a buddy swap out an old electrical panel in his duplex over by the river. We turned off the main, labeled every wire, everything looked fine. Then we fired it back up and half the outlets in one unit just stayed dead. Two full days of me chasing wires with a multimeter, thinking we somehow fried something. Turned out we just forgot to flip one tiny sub-panel breaker hidden behind a box of Christmas lights. Has anyone else had a stupid simple fix eat up hours of your life?

Ah, the classic hidden breaker move. Real pro move honestly.

Ngl, that's not really a 'hidden' breaker move though. It's actually in the rulebook under momentary interruptions of play. The trick is timing it right so the other guy doesn't see it coming, but calling it hidden is a stretch. Most decent players spot it if you telegraph it with your body language. Honestly, a real pro move is using the same setup but making it look like you're just adjusting your grip. That's where the subtlety comes in, not in the breaker itself but in the setup. Tbh, anyone who's played more than a couple seasons knows the basic hidden breaker is just standard stuff now.
