Watched 'The Happening' again after 10 years and it's actually kinda fun

I was at my buddy's place last Saturday and he had it playing in the background. I walked in right when Mark Wahlberg is trying to talk to a plant, and I just sat down laughing. Everyone trashes this movie for the acting and the dumb plot, but that's exactly why I like it now. It's not trying to be some deep horror flick, it's just a wild ride with ridiculous moments. Has anyone else revisited a hated movie and found yourself enjoying it for different reasons than before?

Right? It's like they accidentally made a comedy and just rolled with it. Wahlberg arguing with a fake plant is peak unintentional humor.

Honestly, the scene where he's talking to the plastic plant in the window gets me every time. I rewatched it last month with zero expectations and had a way better time than I did in the theater back in 2008. The whole thing feels like a B-movie that somehow got a real budget and A-list actors, which makes the cheese factor even better. Ngl I'd take this over most of the serious, boring horror movies that come out now.
