Watched The Room with a film professor and he pointed out something I never noticed
He said the whole movie works better if you think of Tommy Wiseau’s character as an alien who doesn’t understand human behavior, not a guy who’s just bad at acting. That idea honestly made me enjoy the movie more on a rewatch. Do you think weird acting can be forgiven if you treat it like a different kind of storytelling?

Whoa, is this really something that needs a whole new way of looking at it? Awkward acting is just awkward acting most of the time, and people overthink it. Pretty sure Tommy Wiseau was just making a weird movie, not trying to pull off some deep alien concept.
