I finally stopped my roommate from eating my food by putting a $6 lockbox in the fridge
Honestly I was ready to move out over this. My roommate Marcus ate my leftovers 4 times in one month. I labeled stuff, I put notes, I even hid chips in my sock drawer like a psycho.
Ngl the thing that fixed it took 20 minutes and cost $6. I got one of those small plastic lockboxes people use for cash at a yard sale near my place in Columbus. Tossed my good stuff in there and put it behind the milk.
He never touched it once. Not one time in 3 months. Turns out the man only steals what he can open easy.
Tbh the real win was that I stopped having blowups with him over it. No more texts at work asking if someone ate my pasta.
What are you all using to lock down your food? I keep hearing people swear by mini fridges in their room but I only have so much space.
