Roommate's dad gave me advice about the shared fridge, it backfired hard
Tbh, my roommate's dad visited last month and told me the secret to keeping peace was labeling every single item in the fridge with our names and dates. I thought he knew what he was talking about since he'd survived college roommates in the 80s. So I spent a Sunday afternoon with a label maker and color coded everything, even my hot sauce. Within a week, my roommate started peeling off my labels and putting his stuff in my designated shelf because he said it looked too 'corporate'. Now we have passive aggressive sticky notes stuck to the milk carton instead of actual labels. Has anyone else had advice from a parent that made the roommate situation ten times worse?
