Serious question, does a loud fan actually help you sleep or is that just something people say to excuse their noisy roommate?
My roommate runs a box fan on high right next to our shared wall, and I was sure it was just him being rude for 4 months straight. Then I tried a cheap one in my own room after a rough breakup and slept 7 hours without waking up once, so now I get it, but I still think sharing a wall changes things. So where do you land, is white noise a real sleep aid or just an excuse to be loud at 2am? If you've had a fan battle with a roommate, how did you work out who gets to run theirs and when?
