My sourdough turned into soup on the counter in Tucson
I left my starter out overnight in the heat here, came back at 7am and it had separated into liquid with a gray skin on top. I panicked and dumped half of it before realizing I could just stir it back together. Added about half a cup of flour and water, let it sit for 4 hours, and it bubbled right back up. Has anyone else had a starter go liquid on them when the room hits 85 degrees or more?

Buddy of mine in Phoenix had the same thing happen, he just stirred it and fed it like you did and it was fine within a day. Scared the hell out of him though, said it looked like some kind of science experiment gone wrong.
