Rant: Hit 100 book club meetings and nobody warned me about the burnout
I just realized last Tuesday that my book club had its 100th meeting, and I didn't even notice until I counted back in my calendar. Nobody tells you that after so many debates, you start predicting everyone's opinions before they speak. Last week, Linda argued that the antagonist was misunderstood, same as she did back at meeting 23. I caught myself zoning out during the discussion because I already knew the exact three points people would make. It made me wonder if any of us are actually changing our minds or just repeating the same arguments. Has anyone else hit a big number of meetings and felt like you've heard it all before?

100 meetings means you've got a solid crew that actually shows up and talks books. That repetition Linda brings is a feature not a bug, it means the group has genuine recurring themes and honest opinions. Sounds like you're just bored with consistency, not that the club has run its course.
