That $80 book club debate guide was a total bust...
I bought this fancy debate handbook for $80 thinking it'd save our monthly meetings, but it just made everyone argue about the rules instead of the book. Has anyone else blown cash on something that backfired that bad?

My book club spent $200 on a wine pairing set and nobody drank half of them.

Tried a $90 guided discussion kit once - it came with those little talking stick things and we spent half the meeting just passing the stick around. Best move is to just pick one question off the internet and let the conversation flow natural.
