Why does nobody talk about using the audiobook for the reread before the meeting

Our club used to just skim the physical copy the night before and hope we remembered the good parts. Last month I tried listening to just the final 3 chapters on my commute to work in Austin, and it totally changed how I joined the discussion. Hearing the narrator's tone made me catch a betrayal twist I completely missed while reading. Now I always do the audiobook for the last 5 chapters of whatever we're about to debate. Has anyone else tried this for books with a lot of subtle foreshadowing?
