I skipped my cousin's wedding to work a 14 hour day and I'd do it again

Everyone in my family acted like I committed a crime when I didn't show up to my cousin's wedding in Cleveland last June. Here's the thing, I was moving a family of five that day and their lease ended at 5pm, so somebody had to be there. My aunt left me a voicemail saying I clearly don't care about family, but I made $2,200 that day and paid my own bills instead of borrowing money. What's the weirdest event people expect you to drop everything for?
