My dad told me to 'just ignore it' when my neighbor blasts music at 2am. That was 3 months ago and I'm losing my mind.
He said if I don't react, they'll get bored and stop. lol well it's been 90 days of bass rattling my bedroom walls every single night. I tried earplugs, I tried a white noise machine, I even moved my mattress to the living room. Last week I finally called the cops and they actually showed up and told him to cut it out. Has anyone else had family give them terrible advice that just made things worse?

Man people on here act like every little noise is a personal attack on their soul. You moved your mattress to the living room over some bass? That's a bit much. Maybe your dad had a point about not letting it get to you so bad. The cops coming out once probably won't stop a guy who blasts music at 2am for 90 days straight anyway. He'll be back at it next week and you'll be right back to square one, just more frustrated. Sometimes you gotta pick your battles and this one sounds like it's not worth losing sleep over.
