Unpopular opinion: I stopped saying 'you're welcome' at my diner after a regular told me it made her feel like a burden
She said 'thanks' 11 times during one breakfast at my counter in Boise and I kept bouncing 'you're welcome' back at her until she finally said it made her feel like she owed me something, so now I just nod and say 'yeah' and tips are up about 15 percent, has anyone else had a customer call them out on that?
