DAE regret venting to a friend who just agreed with everything?

I told my buddy Dave I was scared my crew was going to quit after I blew up over a $40 mistake last Tuesday. He said I was totally right and the guy was lazy, which felt great for about an hour. Then I realized he agrees with whatever the last person says, so his take was worth nothing. I called my brother instead, and he said flat out that I was the problem and I needed to apologize. Has anyone else gotten honest feedback that stung but was actually right?
