Hot take: I used to think meal prepping on Sunday was a waste of time

For like 2 years I'd just grab fast food every lunch at work in Columbus and spend like $12 a pop. Then I added up my receipts one day and saw I was blowing $240 a month on garbage drive-thru food. Now I spend 90 minutes every Sunday roasting chicken thighs and rice in bulk and my wallet and stomach both feel way better. Anyone else have a 'holy crap I'm bleeding money' moment like that?

Used to think the whole Sunday prep thing was overrated too. Changed my mind real quick.

Tbh the part nobody talks about is how Sunday prep actually saves you money. Meal planning means you buy exactly what you need, no impulse grabs at the grocery store midweek when you're tired and hungry. That saved me like $40 a week easy. Plus you stop throwing out half that bag of spinach or those sad tomatoes because everything gets used in the plan. The time thing is real too, 90 minutes on Sunday saves you like 10 hours of decision fatigue during the week. Ngl it feels like cheating at first but it's just working smarter.
