Just hit 100 days of writing down every single negative thought I have

I started a notebook on January 1st, writing every time I told myself I couldn't do something or that I messed up. I hit 100 entries yesterday. The number itself is shocking, but seeing the patterns is worse. Over 70 of those entries are about my work, like 'you'll never finish that project' or 'that patient thinks you're bad at your job.' It's a physical record of how often I put myself down without even noticing. Has anyone else tried tracking their own negative self-talk and been surprised by the volume?

Argue with the data later" sounds like something I'd say while actively avoiding the problem, honestly. But actually that notebook idea is brutal, I bet half my negative thoughts are just me being dramatic about forgetting to buy milk or something. Good luck fighting those 70 work entries, sounds like your brain is running a very aggressive PR campaign against itself.

That "physical record" part really got me. Now that you can see all those work related thoughts laid out, what's your plan for the next 100 days? Are you going to try to argue with those entries or just keep collecting data?

Keep collecting, then argue with the data later.
