This lady at the thrift store made me feel like a pro
I was at the Goodwill on Elm Street last Tuesday, just digging through the kitchen stuff like I always do. This older woman was next to me, and she kept picking up these fancy-looking pans with scratched-up non-stick coating. I mean, idk, maybe it's just me but those are never worth it. I quietly said, 'Hey, the metal ones over there are way better, they last forever.' She looked at me, put the pan down, and said, 'You're right, honey. You've got the eye.' It was such a small thing, but it stuck with me all week. I've been doing this budget thing for years, and it felt nice to pass on a tiny bit of that know-how. Has anyone else had a moment like that, where you just gave a quick tip and it felt really good?
