Am I the only one who bought a cheap vacuum sealer and it died after 3 uses?

Honestly, I grabbed this off-brand sealer from a discount bin for $15 last month. Thought I was being smart saving money on food storage. Worked fine the first two times sealing chicken breasts, but on the third bag it just stopped heating up mid-seal. Now I'm out the cash and still have half a pack of rolls left. Anyone found a budget sealer that actually lasts more than a week?

Gosh, only three uses before it died on you? That's just terrible luck, I've gotta say. I've heard those real cheap ones are basically disposable, but I didn't think they'd fail that fast. Seems like you could've gotten more life out of a ziploc bag with a straw for that price. Hope you kept the receipt or something, because that's just not right.

Three uses? That's shocking honestly, I've never heard of a product failing that fast. You'd think they'd at least test them to survive a week of normal use.
