Bought a cheap food scale for $12 and it fixed my portion control problem
I was eating out too much because I couldn't figure out proper serving sizes at home. Kept overeating pasta and rice. Picked up a basic digital scale at Target 3 months ago. Weighing out 2 ounces of dry pasta instead of guessing saved me about $60 a month on groceries. Does anyone else just eyeball portions and end up eating twice what you planned?

I started weighing my rice a few years back and it was a real eye opener. One cup cooked is not the same as one cup dry, and I was easily eating double portions without realizing it. It takes thirty seconds to do and the consistency in my cooking has been worth every penny.

Used to think scales were overkill, but you just proved me wrong with those savings.
