Oh man, I gotta push back on this a little. I used to think the same thing until I started actually tracking where my money went. Your neighbor might not be shopping at the same stores as you or buying the same brands. I bet if you looked closer, he's probably buying store brand stuff and skipping the pre-cut veggies and fancy sauces. That alone can cut your bill in half without even trying.

Pre-cut veggies are a total scam anyway. They go bad in like two days.

Yeah @jordan_young nailed it. Pre-cut stuff is just paying extra for faster rot. Tried it once with onions and they were slimy in two days flat.
