Pro tip: I tried fixing my own dryer to save cash and it took 3 days
The heating element went out, and I figured a $40 part and a YouTube video would do it. I didn't know I'd have to take apart the whole drum just to reach one screw, which added hours. Anyone got a better way to handle appliance repairs without a pro?

That three day struggle is how you really learn though.

Remember trying to fix my sink with a YouTube video and a prayer. Spent two whole weekends covered in plumbing grease, but now I know exactly how that P-trap works (and I'll never forget it). Paying someone just gets the job done. The struggle sticks the lesson in your brain for good.
