The $25 flea market cast iron pan beat my $120 one

Tbh I bought a cheap lodge-style pan from a flea market in Pittsburgh for 25 bucks, just to test my seasoning skills. After 3 weekends of cooking bacon and cornbread in it, that thing is slicker than the fancy enameled one I got on sale. Anyone else find the cheap gear ends up being the daily driver?
