Vent: I was dead wrong about buying a used router off Marketplace, saved $180
I always figured used power tools were a gamble and just bought new from the big box store. Last month my old trim router died mid project on a Saturday, and I found a used DeWalt on Marketplace for $60 instead of the $240 new price. The guy in Beaverton let me plug it in and run it on a scrap board before I paid, and it spun smooth with no wobble. Turns out the plastic base was cracked on his but he knocked off $10, and I used that cash for a new bit. Has anyone else bought used tools and had it actually work out, or did I just get lucky?
