Warning: a guy at a flea market in Cleveland tried to sell me a 'new' phone that was just a box of rocks

I was looking at phones at the Tremont market last month and this seller, Mike, was really pushing a sealed box for $80. He said it was a brand new model, still in the plastic. When I got home and opened it, it was full of gravel wrapped in bubble wrap. He was long gone by then. Has anyone else run into a scam like that at a local market?

Tremont market closed like two years ago, you sure it was there? Maybe it was the one in Ohio City.

My buddy swore he got the best donuts there last month. Turns out he was in the wrong city.

Check the facts before you get too deep into it, @xena_brown50. People hype up food spots all the time based on a single good day. It's probably not worth a trip to another city.
