A flight attendant told me to book flights on Tuesday mornings and I saved $180

Was chatting with a flight attendant on my last trip to Phoenix and she dropped some real knowledge. She said airlines often drop prices on Monday nights for Tuesday morning sales to fill empty seats midweek. I tried it last month for a trip to Chicago and my round trip was $180 cheaper than what I saw on Saturday. Has anyone else noticed a big difference booking on certain days or is it just luck?

Stick to Tuesday mornings like clockwork and you will see the savings add up quick. I have tested this on a few different routes and found the midweek fares consistently undercut weekend prices by a good margin. It really comes down to airlines trying to fill those less popular seats before the week gets rolling.
