Booked a flight to Denver for $38 by flying on a Tuesday in February
I kept getting quoted $280 round trip for a Denver trip and almost gave up on going. Then I tried the trick of searching one leg at a time instead of round trip, and picked a Tuesday departure in early February instead of a Friday in March. Same airline, same route, came out to $38 there and $44 back, so $82 total. Everyone says cheap fares are dead but the calendar is doing way more work than any app. What days of the week do you all fly to get the lowest fares?
Fly midweek if you can, that's the whole game. Tuesday and Wednesday are almost always the cheapest, and Saturday is sneaky good too because nobody wants to leave or come home on a weekend. Friday and Sunday are the worst, that's when everyone books. February is also a dead month for travel so you get deals on top of the day thing. Good find on splitting the legs too, that works more than people want to admit.
