Finally found a $49 flight to Portland and it actually worked out

I was scrolling through flight deals at like 2am a few weeks ago and saw a $49 one-way from Oakland to Portland on a random Tuesday. I almost didn't book it because I thought it had to be a scam or something. But I did it anyway and actually got the confirmation email with no surprises. The flight was on some budget airline I never heard of but it got me there in one piece. No hidden fees either which was the biggest shock. I spent the whole day walking around Powell's Books and ate at a food cart pod for under ten bucks. Has anyone else scored a crazy cheap flight that actually turned out legit?

My cousin once found a $35 flight from Austin to Nashville and we were all convinced it was a trap. She actually took it and the plane ended up being one of those tiny ones with propellers and like 20 seats. She said the flight attendant handed out peanuts with a straight face like it was 1995.
