Found a $12 campsite in Iceland that came with free hot springs access

I was driving through the highlands near Landmannalaugar and stumbled on this tiny campground that charged 1,200 ISK a night and had natural hot pools right next to the tents. Has anyone else lucked into a hidden gem like that where the price felt like a cheat code?

Oh wow, that sounds incredible. I had a similar thing happen in Norway actually, near the Lofoten Islands. I found this little campground run by an old fisherman who charged me like $15 a night and had these rustic wooden hot tubs fed by a natural hot spring. The water was perfect, not too hot, and you could see the northern lights right from the tub. I ended up staying three nights because it felt too good to be true. The guy even let me use his kayak for free one afternoon.

Yeah but is it really that serious? I mean, northern lights from a hot tub sounds cool and all, but was the water actually clean or was it just some rusty pipe fed hot spring? I've seen those setups in pics and they always look way nicer than they are in person. Plus $15 a night is ridiculous cheap for Norway, so I'm betting the place had bugs or something. @elizabethtaylor probably got lucky with good weather and a chill fisherman, but I bet if you showed up on a rainy Tuesday it'd be a whole different story.
