I thought those overnight bus rides were a terrible idea, but my trip from Berlin to Prague changed my mind

I was sure I'd be wrecked after a 7 hour bus ride, but it saved me a night in a hostel and got me there by 7am. The bus had free wifi and decent seats, and I slept way more than I expected. For 25 euros, I got transport and a place to sleep, which beat paying 40 for a hostel plus a 60 euro train ticket the next day. I just packed a neck pillow and an eye mask, and it worked out fine. Has anyone else found a specific overnight route that was actually worth it?

Yeah, the neck pillow and eye mask combo is key. Did the same thing on a bus from Paris to Amsterdam. Woke up ready to go, saved a ton of cash.

My version of an overnight bus was a Greyhound from Cleveland to Chicago that smelled like old hot dogs. I envy @jennyh41's Paris to Amsterdam success. I just remember waking up with my neck pillow around my waist and a new fear of rest stops.
