People keep booking flights on Tuesday thinking it's cheaper but I tested it for a year and nope
I spent all of 2023 tracking flight prices for 6 different routes out of Chicago and the Tuesday thing is just a myth. I checked prices every single day for a year on Google Flights and Southwest and the cheapest days were all over the place. Sometimes Sunday was $40 less than Tuesday, sometimes it was Wednesday night. The real hack is to set price alerts and book when you see a drop, not on a specific day of the week. Has anyone else actually tracked this for a while and seen the same thing?

I tracked flights out of O'Hare to Denver for like eight months and yeah, cheapest day was usually a random Wednesday at 2pm or something. My buddy swears by booking at midnight on a Thursday, says that's when the airlines update their systems and prices drop.

My cousin swears by that midnight Thursday thing too, says he scored a roundtrip to Denver for $89 once. I tried it once and got nothing but a headache and a $250 fare, so your mileage may vary.
