Vent: My airport shuttle fail led to a better deal

I missed my paid airport shuttle in Lisbon yesterday. I ended up taking a local train for way less money and got to see more of the city. Do you skip shuttles for public transport when you travel?

That Lisbon train from the airport is actually the metro, but it's super easy. I always take it because it's way cheaper than any shuttle.

Missed my booked shuttle in Munich once. The S-Bahn was half the price and got me downtown faster. Now I always check for rail options first.

My buddy did that in Barcelona, his pre-booked shuttle never showed. He ended up on the Aerobus for like five euros and got there faster.
