Why does nobody talk about booking flights on a Tuesday at 3 AM being a total myth?

I sat in a Newark terminal last month and overheard an airline employee telling her coworking that prices update based on demand not day of week, and that's when I realized I had been waking up early for nothing for 3 years. Has anyone else got actual proof from a specific booking that time trick worked?

Three years of 3 AM alarms just to save maybe forty bucks? That's dedication to a myth most people dropped after one try. Airline pricing is random enough without losing sleep over it.
