Called my credit union's hotline at 2 AM during a panic about a $47 fraud charge and the human picked up in 12 seconds flat

Always thought those 24/7 customer service claims were just marketing fluff until I actually tested one and got a real person who reversed the charge before I even finished my coffee the next morning, has anyone else had a pleasantly surprising customer service win like that?

Seems like a pretty minor thing to be calling about at 2 AM.

Do you really think the time of day matters when someone is worried about their safety though? A lot of people don't realize how scary it can be when a stranger is hanging around your house at night, no matter how harmless it might seem. I remember a news story about a woman who called 911 for what sounded like a minor issue, and it ended up being a burglary in progress down the street. So I have to push back here, @the_jamie, because calling early in the morning shows they cared enough to look out for themselves and their neighbors. Better to be safe than sorry, especially when you're half asleep and your gut says something is off.
