Can we talk about the $50 I wasted on coupon organizing apps?

I downloaded three different coupon apps last month thinking they'd save me big at the grocery store. Total cost was about $50 for premium features across all of them. But you know what happened? I ended up buying stuff I didn't need just because there was a coupon. My grocery bill went up by $20 that week, not down. Has anyone else found that coupon apps just trick you into spending more?

The coupon apps got me good too. I signed up for one that promised "70% off organic snacks" and walked out with a cart full of weird kale chips and chia puddings that tasted like cardboard. My fridge is now a museum of half eaten health food I never wanted. Worst part is I spent an extra $15 on stuff just to hit the free shipping threshold. Isn't it funny how saving money makes us spend more? What was the weirdest item you bought just because you had a coupon for it?

Nah I feel like the opposite honestly. Those coupon apps saved me way more than I wasted, you just gotta be smart about it lol. I grabbed a deal on some probiotic gummy bears once and they were surprisingly fire, not even mad about it.

And then you realize you're not just buying weird snacks, you're buying into this whole system where the math doesn't quite add up. @david_rivera4 got lucky with his gummy bears but most of us end up with a pantry full of regret. The whole free shipping thing is a trap that gets me every time. I once bought a giant bag of mushroom powder because it was 50% off and now I just stare at it wondering what possessed me. It's like these apps know that the thrill of a deal overrides common sense. You walk out thinking you saved money but really you just traded cash for clutter.
