Finally saw my emergency fund hit $2,000
It happened last Friday after I automated a $50 transfer each payday. Anyone else get a boost from just setting something and forgetting it?

How do you even stop yourself from touching it? I mean, I had to literally open a separate savings account at a different bank, one without a debit card. Out of sight, out of mind, you know? Watching that automatic transfer do its thing every two weeks is the only way it works for me. If I had to remember to move money myself, I'd just spend it. It feels so good when you finally check and see it actually added up.

Honestly, the real win is when you stop checking it. That's when you know the system is working.
