Finally stopped buying new lunch containers every month

I used to toss stained Tupperware and grab a fresh pack for $12 at Target each month, but last January I switched to mason jars and now I just wash them out with baking soda. Has anyone else made the swap and found a better way to keep lids from getting gross?

Heard vinegar works better than baking soda for killing that musty smell in the lids.
